Hi Everyone,
I am looking for some guidance. I received an offer for $20k with a government organization. Government housing, government schooling (independent schools) and health care are provided. I have a wife and a son in KG. I am looking for a decent lifestyle and at the same time save some money.
How much in your opinion would I be able to save per month?

Agree with Prize, but we can't get rid of sakaera type people from a social site.
@sakaera,open ur eyes,most of the time I do not even understand your comments. people find your comments boring. I believe try this out. Give yourself break on ql for few days and iam sure things will work.
On week ends eat at your boss's / colleagues' / friends' / neighbours' homes alternatively .... for extra saving ....... ............ .............. ............. .............
If you learn cooking , you can save 1200 , don't go for cinema save 300 because you have Net / TV / Kid at home ... so in this way you can really see more money staying in you bank account

- monthly grocery or misc - QAR 1000.00
- weekly (or weekday) (thursday and friday) if planing to eat out in budget hotel - QAR 1,200.00
- car wash - QAR 120.00
- cinema once a week - 300.00 qar
- wife (jewellery or accessories), husband and kids shopping - QAR 5,000.00 (includes jewellery, mobiles etc)
- post paid connection - QAR 300.00 (husband) + QAR 200.00 (wife) = QAR 500.00
total : QAR 2,620.00
the above excludes DISCOS, PUBS, CAR SERVICING, TRAFFIC FINES
Appox per month QAR 10,000
So you can save per month : USD 17,260.28
Tip : Do not forget to give charity and when you give charity please give a smile and if you can not give smile, then look at molten metal comments and give a smile
what is your definition for decent life style... you mean discos, pubs etc or religious complex, coffee shop etc
Qat , Limit your expenses , save for tomorrow .......... remain happy till your last day ........
