RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conducting Inductions, Tool Box Meetings, Safety Meetings, etc.
• Preparing site observation reports, near miss reports, Accident reports, etc.
• Monitoring the work conditions and practices of main contractor and sub-contractors.
• Ensuring proper and regular use of Personal Protective Equipment on site.
• Responsible for inspecting fire extinguisher and ensuring adequate maintenance.
• Ensuring the maintenance of high standard of housekeeping at all times.

• Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specification and safety  or sanitation standard
• Attend seminars and workshops organized by the clients for contractors.

Responsibility                                                        

• Maintained and ensured that safety procedure such as risk assessment, pre-planning, site safety, fall protection, asbestos and combustible mixture check, First aid, proper PPE, Identifying adjoining building, site cleanup were in place.
• During construction and deconstruction (Demolition) I ensured warning sign were erected.
• I ensured, traffic control, road closure and pedestrian control were provided where necessary and identified.
• Ensured that perimeter hoarding fencing installed as require.
• Ensured that gates were locked at the end of each work day
• Before commencing demolition, I ensured that developmental approvals were granted from the owner and necessary authorities before we proceeded.
• I ensured that building owner provided building report, to ascertained the presence of asbestos materials, and also double check from the structural Engineer to be sure the report was accurate
• I reviewed the existing plan to identify the structural system, and also consulted with the structural engineer for more details.
• Worked closely with the expert that disposed hazardous materials such as fuel, oil, and asbestos. And also ensure that suitable face mask were used and each person washed themselves during break and before going home
• Identified safe means access to the site, and for adjoining and areas such as common parks.

• Identified possible environmental impact from the demolition and took corrective measure. Carries out trainings for concerned staff and non-staff employees to raise awareness on personal protective equipment (PPE) and hygiene.
• Coordinates with storekeeper to ensure availability of safety equipment.

Responsibilities:                                                          

• Cooperate with Senior Safety Engineer to issue various permits (entry, shutdown over pumping and dewatering) as per Department’s permit procedure, on site(s) under his control.
• Investigates causes of industrial accidents or injuries and develops solutions to minimize or prevent recurrence.
• Liaises with Senior Safety Engineer to ensure the organization is aware of accidents and appropriate corrective action is implemented.
• Conducts plant or area survey to determine safety levels for exposure to materials and conditions.
• Perform regular Safety Audits with safety senior engineer, and provide recommendations on corrective actions.
• Advises on compilation analysis and interpretation of statistical data related to exposure factors concerning occupational illness and accidents.
• Reports periodically and accurately safety results to Plant in- Charge and Senior Safety Engineer.
• Maintain high levels of on-site safety awareness through the delivery of effective educational and training programmes.
• Responsible to provide a comprehensive on-site H&S administrative support system.
• Help maintain effective working relations between the Company, its clients and its sub-contractors
