Is jeep wrangler a recommended buy?
Hello,
I have been looking forward to buy a second hand slightly used jeep wrangler (2011 or newer, and no more than 50k km), but I have been confused by people, some say it's really unreliable and breaks down very often, while other say the opposite...
I am going to use it as an everyday car, and no I am not big time off road driver (just occasionally -no dunes-).
So experienced people, do you recommend? In aspects of dealership, breaking down reliability. ?
Appreciated.
Wonderful, that was very helpful. Exactly my thoughts, any mechanical/electrical part has a duration and durability indeed.
And that website is interestingly useful reference to any car.
cheers mate.
It’s a great SUV, if you like Jeep Wranglers then you should go ahead with the purchase. I would not agree on the statements made of regular breakdowns.
People don’t realize the normal wear of Mechanical parts and expect their Vehicle to run as same as new even after 100,000 km mileage. Yes there are bad experiences that may happen randomly but we cannot class the whole Jeep Wranglers as bad make on few bad experiences.
The Mileage range you are looking for it would not be a problem – as a Jeep Wrangler owner myself, I can assure you that.
Problem you might face is the “Death Wobble” – google it, it’s a common problem with the Jeeps.
I would recommend visiting following “www.carcomplaints.com” , do a bit research before you make the purchase.
Just one comment – its not a family car. Ride is rough and not luxurious. Also, resale is difficult because of limited market in Qatar.
Cheers – hope above is helpful.
Thank you for your useful feedback, but still have the question in mind.. does it actually break down quite often as people say.
I'd take Grand Cherokee over Wrangler any day, especially that - as you said - it's going to be used more as an every day car. Or Land Rover even, but it's just me.
Gimme, I am not a garage owner. So does that suggest this car need a lot of maintaining?
Solaria, well it is a powerful stylish car with a lot of options, and yes I will go off road, just not as in everyday and probably barely over dunes.... but still such car is very suitable to Qatar lifestyle
If you are not an offroader then why would you even bother buying Wrangler?
If you are a owner of a Garage , I say u buy
