Ramadan starts on Sunday in Qatar
The Crescent Sighting Committee at the Ministry of Awqaf has announced that Sunday, June 29th will be the first day of Ramadan in Qatar.
Saturday, 28th of June is the last day of Sha'ban and Sunday is the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.
Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates has also announced that they will observe the holy month of Ramadan starting Sunday.
The fasting month begins on Sunday in 143 countries around the world, while in 53 countries it begins today. In most African countries, such as Mauritania, Senegal, Gabon, Mali, Liberia, Ivory Coast and Ghana, Muslims will be fasting from today.
Tomorrow Saturday 28th June 2014 is the last day of Sha’ban, and Sunday is the first day of Ramadan 1435.
