Need advice concerning my coming back to Doha for work after having gone for more than 3 years.....

Hi All,

I worked in Doha for four years way back 2007 to 2011. I left Doha for vacation and didn't come back. I sent a resignation letter to my employer and no response. I don't know what was my last employer/sponsor's action to my papers/record. I didn't send my passport for cancellation and my qatar I.D. expired last August 2012. I am hesitant to sign any offer letter bound for Qatar because i do not know what's my status in Doha. I am afraid if i come back i might be having a problem at the immigration. Anybody can help to view my status at the immigration or ministry of interior using only my passport number and QID number which was already expired?

There are several cases that they come back to Doha without knowing what's their previous status only to find out that they are blacklisted by their previous sponsor without a valid cause.

I think someone or somebody can shed me some light on this matter.

God bless,

I left Doha 15 years ago due to my contract being terminated. I had a bank loan and 2 guarantors. When I got back to the UK I called CBQ and offered to pay something each month but was told it wasn't enough. I spoke briefly to one of my guarantors to apologise as I had no choice but to leave (yes they let me!) - he said something had been taken from his account. I am need to go back to Doha on business and wondered if I will be allowed entry? Thanks

thanks Mhmd Ali, sristakdas & fubar for the inputs. Now i've heard that my previous company have changed name and the company i worked before, does this can possibly resolve my previous employment?

If there is a problem because you didn't resign formally, you will be blocked for a visa and can't re-enter. So you might as well accept the job and hope for the best.

You can sign the contract. Your new employer will apply a new work visa for you. If you are blacklisted the visa won't be issued itself, and if you get a new entry visa then no problem at all. All the best.

tsk tsk that is a big problem....only you can check the status by contacting your previous company....don't take the risc unless you are fully sure that there is no pending case against you....
