About Gynecologist - Is it safe to stay here for delivery?

Alhamdulillah, We are expecting our first baby and we have plan to have delivery in doha.

Was googling about  Gynecologists in Qatar and found some good and bad information.

For example this site http://www.expatwoman.com/AbuDhabi/forum/topic150915-gynaecologist.aspx

My concerns.

1. Is it safe to stay here for delivery?

2. Are hospitals and facilities here better than India?

3. I have insurance but would like to know which option is better HMC or Private Clinic? ( as per the above link private clinics might be asking for surgeries even if it is not necessary)

Would really appreciate if you can share your idea, if you already has gone through this phase.

Thanks a million.

I believe HMC cannot live upto your expectations. I think you should reconsider educating your child here and possibly consider working back in India.

Congrats, Since you have a Insurance facility, up to 7 month of pregnancy period just go through private clinics, and then ask them the referral letter to HMC Women Hospital, Then from 8th Month You can directly deal with Women's Hospital. I dont know about Delivery in Private clinics, but i have my own personal experience with HMC, i feel it is more better.last year my my born at HMC, we were Happy wih HMC.

From my experience i would say Hamad is the best. They got several teams of speciality doctors during delivery and all the latest equipments.... only probelm is men are not allowed to accompany for consultation, you may get around this by choosing evening clinic.

go to hamad medical centers for consultation. They will refer you to the hamad womens hospital for delivery or any other emergency. My baby was born here, My wife and i am very happy about the service. If you have the money to spare then a private hospital. But the cost is around 15-20k at alahli hospital.
