Transferring car ownership

I am in the process of buying a second hand car. I understand that both the buyer and seller have to go to the Madinat Khalifa fix department to process the paper work. My questions are:

Is it the same building in Madinat Khalifa where you get your driving license exchanged ( in case you hold a Uk driving license)?

What are the opening times on Saturdays?

On Saturday the newly built Traffic Head Office remains closed. However you can visit the old traffic department in Madina Khalifa, near the Health Centre, they are open from morning 6 to evening 10.

Other traffic offices are open from morning 6 to evening 6.

Thank you to both of you. Do you know the opening hours on Saturday for madinat khalifa traffic department? It is the closest from where I live.

you can do it from any traffic department(madinat khalifa is crowed;avoid). all you need is QID card both, car registration card, debit/credit card to pay transfer fee. No need to do typing arabic. they will give you a printed form from the system, the owner has to sign it. traffic violations extra to be settled prior to transfer.

Hi there,

Yes, you can transfer the car ownership in Madinat Khalifa Traffic Police Main Building.

You need to have an application filled in Arabic (you can find many typing centers outside the building). Qatar ID copies of both parties and 200 QR transfer fee in your debit / credit card.

Take token and the ownership changing procedure will take hardly 3 Minutes.

Hope this information finds well.
