I am working in ministry but still i didn't get any contracts sign from the ministry at time of last 8 years, According to Qatar labor act providing the Accommodation or allowance not giving in ministry how can i go for this problem .
its seems nothing changed, everything is unclear to the public they just reiterate the old law, from my point of view it is false hope to all expat workers Im sure a lot of them are dis-appointed. slavery will always exists and impossible to abolished.

LOL Rosenmogra,,,,,hahahaha :)))
The propsed changes are welcome. Still there should be rethink on exit permit because many people can escape with robbery. bank loan, murder etc. if this law applicable. It is a good news that NOC system or two years ban will replace with new law. Also suggestion that a person works in a firm from 5 to 25 years according to the experience the salary scale should change. Most of the educated people are pinned back due to lack of holding or dealing with chairman or company propritors. Uneducated people are sitting on top post and educated people never get a chance to get promoted. Many companies we can see that tea boy will become manager and educated will work under him.
The proposed changes are basically to transfer the sponsorship control from private sponsors to the govt. (Ministry of Interior) which would not effectively solve this long standing issue. The two types of employment contracts would further complicate the bonded labor practice in the market. It seems that the changes are well influenced by the local business houses who want their workers to remain in their control by way of new tough employment contracts. Honestly the local business houses should not fear if they loose control on the workers, because they have the right ability and capacity that can hire more talented people which are abundant in supply world wide. Moreover the business empires should no longer be built on the aspiration and dreams of poor migrant workers.
Nothing changed !!! Just re-packaged the same stuff.... sad... I actually thought they gonno make real changes.
Sponsorship system also necessitate to change, if worker want's to do alternative job, should get release from current sponsor. otherwise how we are free to work at where we deserve.
