Celestino Solon and Reynaldo Amazona clinched the doubles title at the 3rd QTF and Intercontinental Hotel Tennis Open 2010. The event took place at the courts of the Intercontinental hotel.
The duo defeated Saddam Hussain and Johny Al Khoury.
Celestino and Amazona lost the opening set but fought back to win the match by 4-6, 6-2, 11-9. The final was followed by a closing ceremony where Hafidh Al Busaidy, General Manager of the Intercontinental Hotel was the chief guest. Tariq Zainal, Assistant General Secretary of QTF and Yousef Al Obaidly, General Secretary of QTF were among the prestigious guests.
The tournament took place at the courts of the Khalifa Interantional Tennis Complex and the Intercontinental Hotel Doha from the 4th – 18th of October. More than 400 local tennis players participated in the event in 20 different categories.
The QTF and Intercontinental Doha Tennis Open 2010 is one of the highly acclaimed Sporting events in Qatar and one of a series of other sports’ initiative which underlines the country’s world-class sports facilities and infrastructure and its serious investment in growing the industry.
