This place is copying 'Hollywood Walk of Fame'. Instead of having western celebrities on the walk, they have a mandarin / chinese / oriental celebrities handprint doted on the walk.
My favourite stars Andy Lau, Jacky Chan, Chow Yun Fatt are all there.

In 1982, the New World Group built a promenade along the waterfront around the New World Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui East, Kowloon. In 2003, the Group announced it would spend HK$40 million to build the Avenue of Stars, a project supported by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, Tourism Commission, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Hong Kong government and the Hong Kong Film Awards Association.

Avenue of Stars located at the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade was given a glittering official opening on 27 April 2004. It was opened to the public and visitors from all over the world from 28 April 2004 onwards.

Make sure you do 2 visits if you have a spare time. One during the day, and one during the night. It is nice to see the Hongkong Harbour by night. And if you are photograph freak, you can try to experiment with your camera for a night shoot (dont forget to bring along your tripod).

When we went to Hongkong ... they have a show call 'Symphony of The Light', basically you come to Avenue of The Stars just before 8pm. And at 8pm, the buildings in the harbour will all lit up ... it is a kind of laser show. All lights come from the building synchronized with the music played in the giant speaker along the Avenue of The Stars (alternatively you can listen to the radio FM in certain frequency). It was breathtaking show. Make sure you come early and claimed your spot. Otherwise you wont be able to see much of it. :-)
