This vehicles now totally banned in Jakarta. The reason to reduce traffic congestion around the city.

I used to take this 'becak' during my younger days to get around my town 'Semarang'. Around 20 yrs ago ... it cost 500 rupiahs for around 3 kms distance. Which about 25 dirhams. lol

Becak also hated by the car's driver for its braveness against the car. If you had an accident with a becak, either your fault or abang becak's fault you still have to pay the damage to the abang becak.

You will see becak mostly around Java island ... their design will be vary from region to region. Mostly you can spot with the 'work of art' on its wheel.
