what type of camera do you use?
I'm just wondering what type of camera we all use and what you think of it. This could be a good place for a newcomer to check out a few different views on cameras etc.
I'll start with mine:
Konica Minolta Dynax (Maxxum) 5 35mm film SLR
Sony A100 Digital SLR
28-105mm f4.5-5.6 KM lens (35mm format)
75-300 f4.5-5.6 Sony lens (digital format)
Ricoh Caplio R5 point and shoot
I'll start with the Ricoh, I'm not a very big fan. Its a couple of years old, but its low light performance is terrible compared to some others I've played with and it has very little manual or customisable features. The best thing about it is that it is compact and pack a 5x optical zoom.
The KM is my first foray into SLR photography and I still enjoy taking it out for a play. I must admit that the Sony is going out with me more often now though, purely for convenience.. Both are good cameras for what they are, slightly above entry level cameras. They also share the lens mounting system too and while some will argue that digital and film lenses are different and should not be interchanged, I haven't noticed any real problems. I am really happy with each of these cameras and the lenses. Now i just need to go out and get me a prime lens... 50mm sony f1.2... one day i might just be able to afford it!
