Dining in Doha with Friends

Most of our dining out happens in good company. We simply enjoy dining out with friends regularly. One of our favourite spots is Souq Waqif but the souq is a popular spot for everyone and gets incredibly busy on the weekends.

We recently stumbled upon two restaurants in the souq which are great for big group dinners, also good shisha spots and have options for dining outside. I'm talking about the hotels with restaurants in the souk. 

Our first experience was at Argan in the Al Jasra boutique hotel - hidden away from the bustle of the souk this place is perfect for a large group of friends want to chat and across the table and relax.

The Moroccan food is splendid and service impeccable. We didn't need to call ahead to make a reservation and just enjoyed the ambiance. 

Our second experience was at the Al Terrace restaurant at the Al Rayyan Hotel in the souq. Al terrace is well located with a choice of seating inside our out.

We chose to sit outside and remain part of the buzz in the souq and enjoy their shisha. Everyone in the group had their entertainer vouchers and the food was reasonably priced.

There is live music on the weekends so it is definitely a great spot to sit back and relax.
