The first Arab Hip Hop Festival in Qatar will kick-start in 3 days time. Bringing together renowned Arab Hip Hop acts from around the world to perform and also discuss key issues on how to develop the Hip Hop culture in the Arab world.  The 3 day event will feature five distinct areas of Hip Hop including Rap music, Dj-ing, Breakdancing, Beatboxing and Graffiti Arts.

Presented by Qatar’s social enterprise; The Youth Company, the festival promises to unite Hip Hop loving youths and also to create a platform for other talented youths to be discovered.  There has never been any show of this kind in the Region; with the increasing upsurge in the number of youths in the Middle East and North Africa Region and Qatar in particular AHF2014 is a perfect youth-oriented event for the rising fans.

The first day of the event will see the indoor Arab Hip Hop Conference where artists and other industry experts will be tackling various issues about the genre and discussing the possibilities of future works.  The outdoor event will put up several attractions like the battleground, fan-zone, VIP Lounge and artists performance stages. Hip Hop is becoming more diverse as it is poetic in nature and can be used as a tool for expressing ones pains and pleasures.

This event is billed as a major milestone in the region as it will surely create newer opportunities for underground talents. The Youth Company has hosted several events for the Qatari youths including the Run The World Festival which has raised funds for the victims of hurricane Typhoon in the Philippines. TYC as a youth-oriented social enterprise will continue to foster youth empowerment.
