Exploring Doha through food

Doha is a fast growing city, and along with it the number of places to eat. Even though there are so many more options to choose from, we tend to just go to a few places we know well.

This isn't because the places we usually go to are necessarily good, but because we are lazy. 

I recently got my hands on the new Entertainer mobile app. This means that trying out a new place isn't costing an arm and a leg. The two for one restaurant vouchers are a buffer into that adventure zone of visiting new places.

Take some good friends, try a new place and irrespective of the food you have a good time and at a fraction of the cost. 

Just a few days ago we tried a new restaurant in Doha. It's hidden in the Piazza area at the Lagoona mall - without being determined to redeem our voucher we would never had ventured that far into the piazza.

The food and service was good and the restaurant were well acquainted with the app. I must be honest, I wasn't convinced Doha restaurants was ready for this new style of redeeming vouchers.

To my delight and surprise, all I needed to do was choose to redeem the relevant voucher, type in my PIN and briefly hand the server my phone to type in the restaurant pin. The restaurant knew exactly what to do and took down the reference for their records. 

So next time you see a new restaurant, whip out that entertainer voucher and step into your adventure zone without any major damage to you bank account!
