Have you played Qatar’s first locally made video game for mobile devices? Go on and download Giddam now.
Giddam is a racing game that allows you to play against friends or other online players.
Up to six players can race against each other from anywhere in the world.
It was created by Girnaas, a technology start-up that specialises in gaming and apps.
Munera Al Dosari, Faraj Abdualla and Fatima Al Kuwari are the brains behind it.
They say that their vision is to be at the top of the gaming industry in Qatar, the region and the world!
So, what would you expect to find in a game developed in Qatar?
Karak for sure! In the race to get ahead by avoiding traps, players will use game weapons such as Karak tea.
The weapons either give the players power or help them trap their opponents.
Choose between the 4 characters: Ali, Um AlThahab/Big Mama, Rashid or Farawla/Strawberry and compete against your friends.
I just love this venture. The good thing about this game is that it exclusively recognizes the traditional attire of Arabs. The Qatar community will readily identify with this game. It is a commendable effort from this company - Courage Guys, you have much laid by for the future and I am happy to see such an initiative
