One on one with Buzz Lightyear!

Mickey Mouse and his band of friends, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy will be performing in a music mash-
up of mega proportions when Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival debuts in Doha.

The festival happens from February 12 to 16 at the QNCC theatre.

BEFORE the show hits town, we caught up with one of the stars: BUZZ LIGHTYEAR…..

Name:
I’m Buzz Lightyear, Space Ranger, Universe Protection Unit. I come in peace.

Age:
I’m sorry, but that information is highly classified.

Nickname's:
Buzz. You may also call me “Space Ranger” or “Space Ranger Lightyear.”.

Famous for:
Well, as a member of the elite Universe Protection Unit of the Space Ranger Corps, I protect the galaxy from the Evil
Emperor Zurg, sworn enemy of the Galactic Alliance.

Current residence:
The Gamma Quadrant of Sector Four

Hobbies:
I tell you, nothing beats an afternoon of asteroid surfing, and I do enjoy a scenic flight through the star fields. But what am I thinking?! There’s no time for frivolity when Zurg could be plotting his next attack!

What do you never travel without and why:
A Space Ranger should never embark on a mission without their standard issue laser, wrist communicator, space
helmet, nava-computer, mission log, anti-gravity servos, and extra fuel cells. Other than that, we travel light.

Favourite holiday destination:
Sector Eleven is lovely during the Galactic Summer, but I’m finding this Quadrant very pleasant as well.

Favourite movie to watch on a plane:
Regulations stipulate that all Space Rangers must remain in hyper-sleep while traveling long distances.

Do you have any tips for aspiring astronauts?
A true Space Ranger is brave, honorable, and never – EVER – gives in to the forces of evil! Oh, and I recommend
always putting on your helmet before your gloves. Otherwise, it’s surprisingly difficult to secure those tiny buckles.
