Today marks the third anniversary of Qatar winning the rights to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup, making it the first Middle Eastern country to do so.

This put Qatar on a pedestal for the world, and shed light on several of the issues the country faces while preparing for one of the most popular sporting events in the world. Much of the international media was focused on the heat of the summer months, human rights abuse, and the structure of the proposed stadiums. However, with 8 years to go before the worlds largest football event, Qatar has proved itself to rise above all criticism and build upon it.

Where were you when Qatar was announced a winner?

I was counting a Centipede's legs or arms -I am not sure what are they-, because I've been told that it has 44 leg.

I was shocked that they were no 44 :O(
