
First Ajyal Youth Film Festival Opens with Local and Regional Stars

Ajyal Youth Film Festival opened the red carpet this evening with bright lights and a lineup of starry-eyed local, regional and international guests. Celebrating the opening of the Doha Film Institutes inaugural Festival, guests including Mahmoud Asfa, Maria Peters, Dave Schram, Stefan Collier, Maziar Miri, Nitin Sawhney, Rick Lens, Pascal Plisson, Jackson Moloiyan Saikong, Salome, Nasieku Saikong, Zahira Badi, Tareq Al Ali, Haya Al Shuaibi, Sultan Al Ali, Abdulnasser Al Zayer, Huda Hussain, Abdulrahman Alaqel, Ali Al Rayes, Shirin Neshat, Hadya Said, Ghazi Hussain, Noura Hassan, Salah Al Mulla, Saad Burshaid, Abdulla Al Mosallam, Abdulaziz Ahmed, Dana An Natsheh and Amal Al Muftah were welcomed by a flutter of press and photographers for the opening night film, The Wind Rises.
Ajyal Youth Film Festival builds on the Doha Film Institute's history of community-based programming. Ajyal invites generations to come together to discuss cinema through workshops that inspire creative interaction, opening up a fun, collaborative environment where young people can express themselves.
