Cashier ethics and customer loyalty at super market

A recent study at a shopping centre very close to Doha Airport showed how customer loyalty decrease due to cashier tactics while billing the groceries.

The cashiers are well trained to enter the scanned code into the system to generate bills and what if the cashier enters the quantity more than the actual that you shopped?

Well off guard, cashiers are encouraged by their employers to enter MORE QUANTITY THAN IN THE CUSTOMERS BASKET to boost profit while the labeled price remains competitive compared to other grocery shops.

Most of the customers went unnoticed and to those who questioned say "Sorry, it’s an error, we will refund or increase basket quantity".

This is a shopkeepers gambling which fools a careless shopper, who is busy to check out. Customers have to be more vigilant on the quantity rather than the price of the item entered in the shopping bill.

My left eye is focused on the small screen giving tally to the items while my right eye is focused on the items being purchased. Vigilance people, vigilance

In one of those shops stated by Rizks I have faced the same issue on three occassions. Since I can get some items from there only (per my knowledge) I cannot avoid going there but always stand on the side after taking the bill and verify the items in the bill.

Thelo my brother from another mother, i think the OP too may have done an experiment based on someone else 'thought's similar to Albert Uncle ?

Whilst one cannot verify the level of truth in the OP due to insufficient proofs to backup the accusations, it still pays to take heed when at check out counters for possible errors, deliberate or otherwise, in billing.

Just a gimmick from the above poster. We know very well that if Baladiya found this to be any where true it would close the Supermarket down. I dont think any manager with the right frame of mind would even dare to think that they can fool customers here!
