Visa Transfer

My sister came here in doha and work in one company on 2008 and for family reason she has to leave doha on 2009.After 2 years she came bacck again with family visit visa and she found a job last May 2012 but unfortunately for personal reason (valid reason) she resigned last December 2012 and the company will give her an NOC.And now luckily she got an offer from other company however they said they will check what they can do for her visa.My question is it possible to transfer her visa to another sponsorhip even she did not finish her one year in the company.Or is it possible that she will exit to nearest country in Doha ; cancel her old company visa and come back with fresh working visa from new sponsor.Thank you all in advance for your kind assistance.

If he has an NOC then he can work to his propect employer. The present employer will do all the process of the transfer not him.

hi. your answer got my attention because I have a friend who has a work visa working for two months right now. He has no RP Id yet. He found a new job and wants to grab that opportunity . If his present sponsor will give him NOC is it possible to transfer his present visa to the new company/sponsor visa where he will work. How will be the process? I am hoping that you can give me idea and information regarding on that matter.Thank you very much in advance.

You may be probably right. Because, I have been told that for certain privileged categories (like Project Managers, Engineering and Doctors) as well as certain categories (due to shortage or unavailability like Maid servants), the Govt. is relaxing the sponsorship rules/ re-entry.

Of course she has! she has Qatar ID when we hired her, she came from American/Filipino wife family when we transfered her visa because her previous employer decided to go back to America due to wife's illness. :)

I just asked my husband, our maid did exit to Bahrain and back the same day with our visa!

I guess in your case, your Maid must not have been stamped her Residence Permit at all. Hence it is possible to transfer her sponsorship from her existing sponsor to your sponsorship with NOC. Once RP is stamped, I do not think it is possible.

As per my knowledge is concerned, one must work with first sponsor for minimum 2 years contract period (after 1 and half years it is possible in most cases) to transfer sponsorship.

If not, another option is to obtain NOC from her existing sponsor. So that she can exit from Qatar and can comeback on new employer's visa. Make sure that the new employer has approved Filipino female visa first. Because many employers promise visas at the time of interviews but once candidate exits they hardly show interest or few may not be possessing female visas at all.

If she is given an NOC she should be fine, even she only works for 6 months with the previous employer. I hired a maid before she works from her previous employer for 3 months and has an NOC then the visa was transfered and she did not exit Qatar during the transfer. I'm sure it will be the same for your sister if she is working in a company.

Should complete 1 year to change to the New Sponsorship or NOC
