DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!! You will have nothing but hassle and when you come to leave no security deposit back for no reason whatsoever!! They will try and find whatever fault, even if you leave it in a better condition than what you was given it. Stay away from this place unless you want to be fleeced, cheated and left with no security deposit.

I have been a resident in this compound for just under a year and I completely disagree with the accusations made in the previous post. Especially about the new security guards - they are new, from an African countries and are learning their jobs. They have never hassled our visitors and are polite to us. I wonder why this person is so angry and writing such far fetched accusations about these men?

I took a 12 month lease however my employment contract wasn't renewed. I advised the landlord and it was agreed that I would pay 3 months rent and they would return the remaining two months' cheques plus security HOWEVER after I left Doha - the cheques still hadn't been returned, the manager wanted to invoice me for 6,000QR for 5 screw holes which I had already repaired plus then went and banked the two cheques for 12,000 each!!!

I strongly recommend that you take great care - the compound is badly run, the gym is falling apart as is the clubhouse. The pool furniture is broken etc etc.

Are the management actually offering contracts for new tenants, as it appears at the minute that they are trying to remove a lot of the tenants for no apparent reason!!

Yes. It used be a great compound. Very like a council estate. You could let you kids wander around on their own causing trouble and trashing the clubhouse, sun loungers etc. You could have loud parties by the pool leaving your cans lying around and fall asleep on the chairs in the middle of the day. You only had to wait several months to get anything fixed. Now, the new compound manager is forcing people to supervise their kids!!! Ridiculous. Calls the police when you get aggresive complaining, makes you keep dangerous dogs on a lead and doesn't let you drink around the pool keeping your neighbours awake. He doesn't let groups of teenagers come in and hang around (because its not allowed on their compounds). Shameful that he doesn't want a club 18-30 atmosphere in the family compound but I suppose you just have to put up with it.

Angelina,

I am for the most part happy here. I know about the issues going on with a few other tenants, but I stay out of it. It's not my business. I did have to deal with an issue with the manager and a delivery driver who littered outside the compound, but it was settled without much issue. I moved here for the light villas and not having to worry about my kids being hit by cars going too fast. There are pros and cons to here, I like to think the pros outweigh the cons for us. The gym is good and a great guy does a boxing class twice a week they have a trainer as well who is very reasonable. We wanted to stay in Ain Khalid area and this was the best for us at the time. I would say come over and judge for yourself.
