Can I leave Qatar?

Hi, I posted a couple days ago about my alcohol involved car accident. If you didnt see it, here is the summary.... I had a couple of beers, drove home, got hit by a semi truck who ran a red light. I was arrested and paid 2000 to get out of jail, but they said I would be contacted for a court date.

Anyways, I have already paid for plane tickets and a vacation outside of the country and I am scheduled to leave 2 weeks from now... Can I go? Is there an immigration department or something like that who I can contact to see if my name is on any travel restriction list? Thanks for the help.

Surely, there is some government department who can tell him where he stands ?

to avoid yourself the embarrassment of them telling you to turn around and that you can't leave/board the plane.

Drop everything else, and start to work this out.. Find the best lawyer you can..and like somebody commented, keep your finances ready for some jail period, and a possible deportation..

Generally, if you have a court case pending you cannot leave the country.
