Asking for advice for my problem regarding in NOC

My contract here in my company are already finished last December 1 2012, I joined last December 1 2010, I'm local hire here in Qatar and I'm a visit visa before. I'm asking to my company if I can get a release paper but they are refuse me to leave their company and they told that they will not give an NOC.
I want to ask if I have right to get my NOC because since my contract is already finished and I'm local hire here in Qatar.

Somebody can give the contact number of labour dept. where I can go and ask for help?

Thanks

I think its better to wait until December 18 th. If any change in present visa changes, it will be really helpful for you. Not only for you, thousands of people, they are really sacrifice their life under notorious sponsors with out salary, over time etc..

I think This is the only country in the world, that stands only for sponsors and empolyers... Bull shit

Whether youre local or direct hire or whatever,as Alexam said its the sole discretion of the employer/company to give or not to give you a NOC.

If you really dont want to continue working for them then its better that you look for a job outside Qatar as you will be banned for 2 yrs.

Think about it and the consequences it may lead you.

Aldrian there's no use of asking for help. Your company has the sole discretion in issuing NOC according to the law. You cannot demand in anyway. If you resign for good they will cancel your residence visa. And you have to wait for two years in order to work again in Qatar with a new sponsor.
