Visa Rules

Need help from someone who had the same experience or anyone who have knowledge on visa rules. My wife and daughter are scheduled to travel to Qatar on the 28th of December under my sponsorship (their visa is valid only up to January 1). My contract however with my current employer is being terminated by end of November and after that I am given only 3 weeks to find a new employer (sponsor) before they will cancel my visa. My question is, if I can manage to find a new placement and that my sponsorship transfer is being processed at the immigration department before 28th of December, can my wife and daughter still travel to Qatar with the visa issued to them? Further info. My RP will expire on March 2013.

Before your family flies to Qatar, you can check with the MOI-Online System if the Visa is still valid. The MOI-Online system is the general site being referred to by any Government Office, even by Qatar Immigration in the airport.

Or if your visa is cancelled in some point in time, you have to check their visa status. Whoever and whatever is under your name will automatically get updated in the system.

As long your visa RP is valid your family will not face any hurdle coming in Qatar . But if your RP is cancelled before they travel then you might have problem. Either you let them come earlier than December or request your current sponsor not to cancel your RP till is Valid or at lease some extra time . Three weeks is not enough to find new Job and change the sponsorship unless you have already one .

Hope it helps .

if the immigration in your country is strict you might encounter problem.

Just prepare the necessary documents needed, aside from the Affidavit of Support, prepare this documents in advance when you acquire new sponsor:

Salary Certificate,

Employment Contract,

Overseas Employment Certificate (if applicable).

These are supporting documents that will testify that you are really working here and you can support your family here. They're your family's ticket.
