I have some questions regarding our payroll & leave .
1. Annual leave: I am entitled for 30 days leave per year as per my contract. First year is ok, as I get leave after 12 months. When is my 2nd leave due ??? is it 12 months from the date of returning from vacation ? or is it after 11 months after vacation, as my 1 month vacation was part of my service.
2. If anybody delays his annual leave by 6 months, when he will be eligible for his next vacation ?? Is he not entitled for his next vacation after another 6 months???
3. My contract is for monthly salary. So what is my per day salary, to calculate my leave pay or end of service benefit ??? Is it not monthly salary divided by 30 days ???? Our Company calculates “monthly salary” x 12 months / divided by 365 days. Is it correct ???
4. On our annual vacation, our Company withholds QAR 1,000/- from our leave settlement, against the round trip ticket which they provide. When they provide ticket for family, they withhold QAR 1000/- each per person. They return this after we come back from vacation. Is it legal ???

1.Normally the date you join the company is considered for annual holidays. For example if your DOJ is Oct 15 then every year Oct 15 will contractually make you eligible for 30 days paid off.
2.Yes he is but as a professional and team player you should get prior approval from your boss.
3.Yes it is. One year is 365 days. As per Qatari Labour law they will give you an extra 3 days basic.
4.We cant say its legal or not , it your company policy.
