Fancy Rats?
Hey there! Anyone knows where to get Fancy rats (Rats not Fancy mice) , I just bought today 2 Fancy mouses , I asked if they were mouses or rats ,I have been told rats.
But I think I just got tricked lol.
Rats very much look like mouses when they are small.
So any ideas where to get Fancy rats ?

i had that pair before, given as a present. but i let it go in the building's rooftop. i am tired of cleaning the cage that's why i let them free. you need have time and patience if you want that kind of pet. best of luck.

I remember having a guinea pig and he was extremely smart and affective. He loved being fed out of my hand (and my father's).

Yeah they are fascinating actually, back in Jordan my friend got a couple from Europe, he wears them collars and they are fully potty trained, he even summons them by their names.
They are pretty rare, I guess the only way to get some is either from outside or University's laboratories.
That I must see. They are certainly not your average rodents then.. In fact they now appear absolutely fascinating, and look adorable too!
@TCM yes,they do fetch and do many tricks and can be potty trained.
@Thsinmim Fancy rats are clean, they do clean themselves, they cannot survive in dirty places like restaurant kitchens because they get easily infected and die.

But "Fancy" rats are especially bred rats for homes as pets, they are bred in universities laboratories , they are also nicknamed as Mini-Dogs ,you can call them names and they'd come, they are basically very intelligent.

Fancy rats ie! Can't imagine anyone taking a fancy to rats however fancy they maybe. Nonetheless to each their own.. these rodents are cute, but they bare too much resemblance to the pests that invaded the villa we stayed in 4 years back, not to mention the rat that bit me when I was seven years old *shudders*
