I accept your point about being disturbed by people being given an incorrect number.

So QL checks the number and the following day that number changes hands.

You still get the calls and still we cannot trace the owner of the number.

What ever you mentioned its proto type instruction and rules for all other web site ,, it’s as simple as copy paste ,,but you have not taken notes for some key registration features from other website ,,still you are avoiding the key issue ??

my question is what about situation , when u been disturbing in middle of some very important meeting / class / work or deep in sleep ,, and you realize that people are calling you for a QL-add which you have never posted ??,,,, af-course the website is responsible for this annoying offense as they promoting thing ,,,as they are allowing to anomies to post the add without confirming there own Qatar mobile number,,, its so simple, for the first time,, while people are registering , simply QL should send a requesting SMS for registration pin code and let them confirm back with registration,,,, so simple,,, but you are keep avoiding this. Its totally up to u ,, but its sure one day you should be in big trouble by this un healthy trend where outsider scammer are getting encourage by your weakness,,,,

Does anyone ever read the Avoiding Scams and Fraud? (Below)

While most of the people listing classifieds on Qatar Living are nice, normal and honest people we do occasionaly see few scammers placing adverts. The best way to avoid these scams are:

DEAL LOCALLY WITH PEOPLE YOU CAN MEET IN PERSON - follow this one simple rule and you will avoid 99% of the scam attempts.

NEVER DEAL WITH ANYONE OFFERRING SOMETHING FOR SALE IN US DOLLARS ($) OR OTHER FOREIGN CURRENCIES - anyone who asks you to do so is a scammer.

NEVER WIRE FUNDS VIA WESTERN UNION, MONEYGRAM or any other wire service - anyone who asks you to do so is a scammer.

FAKE CASHIER CHECKS & MONEY ORDERS ARE COMMON, and BANKS WILL CASH THEM AND THEN HOLD YOU RESPONSIBLE when the fake is discovered weeks later.

QATAR LIVING IS NOT INVOLVED IN ANY TRANSACTION, and does not handle payments, guarantee transactions, provide escrow services, or offer "buyer protection" or "seller certification"

NEVER GIVE OUT FINANCIAL INFORMATION (bank account number, social security number, eBay/PayPal info, etc.)

AVOID DEALS INVOLVING SHIPPING OR ESCROW SERVICES and know that ONLY A SCAMMER WILL "GUARANTEE" YOUR TRANSACTION.

IF SOMETHING SEEMS TO BE TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT USUALLY IS.

Those using fake numbers are NOT outside Qatar, they are invariably INSIDE Qatar.

We are unable to "nanny" users and suggest that the guidelines be used together with a modicum of common sense.
