Work Visa coming from Pinas. Help Kabayan!
By robherr soft •
My sister in-law is getting a work visa from her employer here..But she is still in Pinas.. Anybody here who knows what are the processes there in Pinas before going here holding work visa? Thank u in advance ur thoughts are important..
Thank u very much for all ur inputs..
Anna we have her contract now. Are we going to Labor Ministry & POLO to have it stamped b4 sending it to her? Also, is it really required to send her the orig copy of contract? Bcoz we have to meet some timeline here and sending her the orig contract will take some time.. Thnk u again..
I had the same experience as I am a direct hire from my company here in Qatar, if your sister-in-law's company have an agency in the Philippines its better as the agency will tell her what's the process and procedure she needs to do, but just if her case is the same as mine, hope these can help.
It depends what's her category. If she's a Category 1 (or professional and skilled), she needs an employment contract from her company here in Qatar.
She needs to undergo medical and she needs to get a NBI clearance and duly authenticated by DFA.
Go to the Qatar Embassy in the Philippines have all the pertinent documents stamped (i.e. medical exam results, NBI clearance, employment contract and passport).
After all the documents are stamped at the embassy she can proceed and process the papers at POEA.
If your sister-in-law's ''JOB TITLE'' is under the Category 1 (professional/skilled) she only need the signed employment contract from her employer here, while if her ''JOB TITLE'' is under Category 2 ( Clerical Jobs), she needs the signed employment contract duly endorsed/stamped by POLO Qatar.
Aside from the contract she needs the passport with the visa stamped and the medical exam results, if theres no problem with the documents presented she can go straight to have her PDOS.
Btw, some cases POEA will give a document that you or your sister in law will need to send to her employer for her/his signature.
After PDOS she can pay for the OEC,OWWA and pag-ibig. I dont know how much now but during my time Jan 2011, its almost 7K pesos.
Goodluck...hope it helps.
There are "agencies" in Doha that handle the process if you have the "one-entry" visa. They charge about QR 5,000 including the ticket and do all the paperwork in the Philippines and here.
Doesn't her Company has an Agency in the Philippines?
It is extremely difficult, if nigh impossible, for a person to personally handle the processing of the Work Visa (i.e. Medical, POEA, OWWA etc.)...
If it is a Business or Visit Visa, then let her just send her passport with the copy of the visa to Qatar Embassy....
then advise her to go to Qatar Embassy to have it stamped in her passport.
The next step will depend on her employer regarding plane ticket, POEA documentations, PDOS and others.
