Salaam hello...

I've read that meat comes from Brazil, India, Australia, Egypt, even Chile ... so I am wondering what is the difference btwn all these? Is it price? taste? quality? ... and no way to buy local freshly butchered meat in Qatar? Thanks!

hi osamabawab the NZ meat I cannot find at all - particularly Spinneys doesn't have them. Neither does Mega Mart.

so where do you get yours from?

I personally only buy New Zealand meat, it's healthier cause it's grass-fed, don't know about the other ones, I do know that the US one is grain-fed though.

They ship animals alive to Qatar and those that survive are slaughtered in Qatar. Brazilian beef is frozen and not alive when it comes here.

there is imported meat and there is locally butchered meat (which is always better).

now in the locally butchered option there is variety of choice: (Australian, New Zealand, Egyptian, Syrian, Sudani, Indian etc) all are butchered in Qatar

the difference is in the taste and price, generally in sheep meat Australian is the cheapest and Syrian is the most expensive

taste thing depends on you
