Bought an old car when I came to Doha few years ago, and the car has expired on its istamara,

What is the process to rectify this in terms of insurance, istamara etc

First you have to check your car at qatar technical inspection. If your car passed then you can pay the insurance. After that you can go to traffic licensing office to pay your registration fee and surcharge fee if required.

You have to go to MOI and they will ask you to pay 500 QR since your istimara was expired for more tham 1 month.
