Family Visit Visa Application - not accepted

By Argeecee

Dear fellow QLers,

My husband went to the immigration office this morning to submit FAMILY VISIT VISA applications for myself, our baby and my mother. But the officer did not accept the application for two reasons (1) tenancy contract is not under his name (2) that I should have a residence permit first before my mom could be applied for a visit visa.

For the first reason, is it now necessary to submit a tenancy agreement under the applicant's name already even if it is just for a family visit visa only? Do we have any other options to work around this requirement?

As for my mother's visa, is there any other way that we could have her join us in qatar should me and my baby's visa get approved?

Your inputs are most welcome.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, im 2 years late :) .

Will this rental agreement be accepted if i am (third party) renting to second party, where first party will be the Qatari (owner)? Provided that the rental agreement be signed by third party and second party?

I am applying for Family visit visa for my brothers.

Kabayan robherr, our visas were approved this morning already! That was just applied yesterday, great news indeed today! Yes, our marriage contract was the one with red ribbon from DFA Manila but only a photocopy was submitted.

Thanks everyone for your inputs. My husband tried in another branch yesterday (initially he went to Gharaffa)' he tried at Messaimeer and they accepted our applications! Now we will just wait for the results in 3-5 days. We are thinking positive that it will be approved. :)

As for my mom's visa, I guess we'ill just put it on hold for now. :(

it is near to the tank areaopposite to it.

u go by e ring road when u reach icc signal turn right go straight and then before reaching the first round about on right side u get it. if u want u can take right turn from the roundabout and park near the wall. plenty of parking space.

if your mother wants to come with u, maybe she could apply for a visa independently? like thru travel agents? youll have a hard time including your mother since you will be just comming thru a visit visa i think...

I think you already got many good answers. But just proposing a work around to the contact could be a W&E connection in your name..... or a qtel bill in your name with the address written on the bill.

y i said is my experience. because i went to do visa stamping on wife passport at madeena khalifa. it was a lady she was so rude and behave badly. she knew that i was a doc. she asked me for how many years u want?. so i asked her how much for one year? by hearing the question half she pressed on one year and it was printed. she asked me 500 qr. i told i did not ask u to print before my enquiry finished as i needed for 3 years so that i will get a discount. she got angry and told i canot do it again as u told me to do it now i cant do any thing on it or reissue it. i told i didnt tell u. she was speaking in arabic to her colegues. then she told me for kids u canot issue for 3 years only 2 years. the time was getting over so she told to come next day for kids and stamped for my wife for that one year i had a loss in that.

the next day i went to wakra and asked for 3 years for my kid.there also same thing happend from them as they issued for one year for my first kid. so i told sir i had written three years on the form. so they told sorry and they reissued the same. they did it for me. so i told it depends on the officials who are sitting there. males are better than females in communication.

tenency contract should be in ur name or ur companies name. tenency contract attestation is not required as i got the visa with out attestation . then most of the things depends on the people sitting there.

there is a rule that wife should have r.p before u can sponser any other relatives other than ur own father, mother, brother and sister for visit visa. its given at moi site.

every thing depends on the person sitting there. tell ur husband to go the next day and submit to another person.

or for visit visa u can go to wakra or aboohamoor. wakra they have good and nice officials.

I just also submitted an application for family visit for our son today. My wife is the sponsor as she have a qualified salary than i am. The Qatari lady accepted my papers. She asked for my rental agreement i told her we do not have but she still accepted it bcoz i made some "boladas" to her lol. Try ur luck there in mesameer immigration office. They are more nicer there. I suggest do not include ur mother yet

he said family visa means RP n nt family visit visa, plz robber correct me if am wrong.

and for the main thread she needs to submit the house agreement otherwise her husband company must give a letter saying that they provide accommodation. as i told u before law has changed to the worst.

robber soft, it wont show after 3 days as mentioned in the paper or as she said, it takes at least 7 days or more also she can accept the papers she will lose nothing but after the papers go to commitee they will check paper by other n will reject for no reason, many people i knew gave the rent agreement but only the municipality stamp is missing then the application gets rejected, the person in counter only taking applications n have no relation with it by aproving or rejecting.

benson: how will she remember u? dnt u know how many people submiting papers aday? plz be logic

one of my friends submited all papers and the captain wrote receive the application n signed on it but at the end the application got rejected as the rent agreement nt stamp from municipality. getting RP nowadays is a headache.

Emy so meaning my application will be rejected? bcoz i do not have rental agreement? Why did she accepted it in the 1st place after asking it(agreement)from me? I mean she sould rejected it right there if it is really compulsary. Anyways, let just see after 3 days..

robherr, she will accept the papers but she is nt the one who decide to accept or reject so better try to get the rent agreement as ure just wasting time. they r v strick nowadays

With you and your baby yes there's a big chance. But with your mom, I think no. Not unless you'll apply for tourist visa for her. What the embassy wants to establish is the relationship between the sponsor to the beneficiary. But anyway, Good luck!
