self cooking

I am alone at home and self cooking. It’s becoming very difficult to cook one portion of food and feeling very uneasy to throw away if there is any remaining every day. I can’t eat in restaurants because I am preparing diet food. There are six cats out my corridor usually share my food but now a days they are disappeared , may be they don’t like my cooking or what reason I don’t know. Can someone suggest me what shall i do?

Segmund, milk is even worse for cats , they can't digest it. Chicken pieces are fine, IF they are free from spices or salt.Am I a cat doctor? No, I am not. Never the less, I know what is good and bad for cats...one does not have to be a doctor to know.

Is cat food good for human consumption? I 'd say no...just as human food is not good for cat consumption. Each species has different needs, as simple a that.

Are you cat doctor or what? I think my kittie was quite happy when I fed him lots of chicken pieces and milk. I even got cat food for him, but he deserted me and the food is here. By the way, is cat food good for human consumption?

Same problem was here wid me. but i started sharing my food with the workers working for the buildings. There are many workers on the road. Every second day i warm the food of the first day and pack them and put some water in a plastic bag and pass it to some workers. Try it.

Thanks

try ring the neighbors door or watchman to donate your leftovers, if they move away this might be a sign about your cooking?

joke asaide... there are plenty of recipes to google for single person, just follow the weight of the main ingredients.. if you follow recipes for 2-3 weeks you get a good feeling on how many grams each meal should have and after some time you can cook without recipes.

Cats are not supposed to eat food for humans, it is very, very bad for them. IF you want to feed cats, buy cat food.

About food for you, a was mentioned above, the big white box in your kitchen is a freezer, you can actually freeze food in it. And you can thaw it and heat it up when you want to eat it.

The other option would be to cook only as much food as you are going to eat.

There...the solution to your problem:)

Seems like it is my own voice speaking out loud. LOL. I too have exactly the very same problem. Except that I had one cat to give food to and he too went away.

Do you have enough room in your freezer? Can you eat the same homecooked food several days in a row? If you answer yes to both these questions, you can cook a big pot of food. Eat one portion for your meal(breakfast/lunch/dinner), divide the remaining portions (into one person meal size portions), refrigerate one portion for your next meal and freeze the other portions for your meals the next few days. When you want to eat one portion for a meal, take one portion out of the freezer and warm it up (on stove/oven/microwave). You can also thaw out a portion in the morning (by taking from freezer to put in fridge) and so you only need a quick warm up of that portion for your dinner.
