Visit to Doha

Hi,

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this but I give it a try.

I am a Senior IT Manager with a strong Consulting background such as Accenture. Born and raised in Germany (German Citizen)and lived the last 6 years in Sydney Australia and plan to move to Doha.

I will be in Doha from the 16/09-20/09 and plan to visit the City and meet Recruiters as I am looking for a Job their. I do not have confirmed Job Interviews lined up yet but have made some first contacts.

It seems to work a bit different in Qatar as I am struggling getting responses on my emails. I hope to get some advice here on what is best to do in order while I am in Doha such as meet recruiters (which ones specialist in recruiting senior IT people and reliable) / looking for an Apartment (which agencies) / meet some Senior IT folks ? in meet ups or others etc.?

I would appreciate any advice as I am serious about moving there.

Thanks,
Tuncay

There is some recruiters, you can give a classified ad in 'Gulf Time', visit some reputed companies there are more options.

do you still have a job in sydney?

usually you get a job first and then you come here (at least that is what i heard from most people)no idea about recruiters.....maybe:

the first couple of weeks i would stay at a hotel so you can check out which area you prefer and that is close to work.... even though doha maybe small but traffic can be quite chaotic.
