if you look at the shadow on the floor there is no shadow of her head near the bench. with the direction of the sun ranging at 45 degrees due north the shadow is not perpendicular to the circumference of its major axis. if you know what i mean
I have a QL Photography Group meeting this Friday. I will tell you what, as a project I will get some of my members to reproduce a similar image using the method I have discussed above. It's going to take me all of 2 mins to explain how to do it, and 2 mins for them to do it. I will post the results back here in this thread after we have done it, along with some other examples of the same technique. You don't even need Photoshop for this, you can use Microsoft Paint it's that simple.
Brit no.... not if standing straight. You will notice her head is low down on the lamp post, this is because she is bending and twisting to get her head at the correct angle. If she was standing straight she could not achieve this angle, but her head would be further up the lamp post.
It's two photographs spliced together. Two images taken in quick succession with the camera mounted on a tripod. One with all of her in the image with her head in that position, then a second images is taken without her in the image at all. Then the two images are merged together. The one without her in the photo is on the left side of the lamp post, the one with her in it is on the right side of the lamp post. Very easy to achieve with minimal Photoshop skills. Like I say.... not very clever.
It brings back sweet but painful memories of my Cuban Shotputter.. We used to walk hand in hand along the Corniche and she would run off and hide behind a lamp post.. She would laugh out loud and bare those yellow teeth when I found her ..

Shadows are not natural, so there is some manipulation with the background .. atleast on one side of the pole .
on one side of the pole is a curtain ..

There is use of some mirror / mixed images in this pic. ..
