Car Dealership Customer Service (or lack of!)
Just wondering if anyone else has had appalling customer service from the after sales departments for car dealerships here in Qatar.
I have just experienced the most atrocious customer service from the Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge after sales in the industrial area that I almost cannot believe it myself.
Booked car in whilst on holiday for them to do work so I would not be without a car, they didn't even look at it the whole week until I returned. Phone calls unanswered, car promised to be ready and wasn't, even when I had called beforehand. Surly and unhelpful customer service staff, basically very dismissive plus paying exhorbitant prices for parts and labour?
Still a little stunned as I know that customer service is not a strength in any industry here but this was something incredible. Car only needed minor servicing and parts, dread to think what it would have been like if a really complex problem. A shame as the mechanic seemed to be doing his best amongst the maelstrom!!
I had a good experience at the Honda service center in the Industrial Area: professional, fast, and on time. We are planning to get a second car and thinking about a Mazda or Chevy, but are considering a second Honda just because of the positive customer service experience. Any feedback (positive or negative) about other car brands?
maybe it was a little unwise to use the words 'customer service'. How about basic common sense and human courtesy, does that work better? maybe not?
Have been in Qatar for a few things so know what to expect, but this was really on another level. Trouble is, there is no competition here so you really have no choice!(apart from not buying the brand, which I never would again) otherwise companies like this would never survive.
Thanks for the advice regaledwin, will forward correspondence to Dubai office as there must be a way of improving things.....even to the point of getting them to pick up the phone occasionally :-(
The same thing happened to me.. I gave the car in the morning.. was the first customer dere.. then went back at 5 with promises of all work will be finished. And was surprised to see that my jeep had not even been moved when i reached. Made a lot of fuzz and threatened to complain at the Dubai office, that got them cracking and they asked me to bring it back next day.. took it back.. they gave a me free 4x4 as rental for the day and then had mine ready at the end of the day..
Overall they have the worst service, but can be worked on with threatens and a few complaints at the Dubai head office.
nothing New in Qatar!
..& somehow these issues goes on endless !
"Customer Service" this word does not exist in any dictionary in this place....as rightly said by Chairboy "
It all depends who u are and where u come from...they r trained to be impolite..
Qlers just to reiterate you!
Customers Service is really not existing in Doha.
it is not established yet.
Customer Service - yeah right - you are kidding arent you. I took some dodgy meat back to Megamart in Barwa the other week looking for an exchange - I ended up gatting into an argument with the stupid Indian who "manages" the store about how I was maybe trying to cheat him and his ridiculous store out of QR20 - what ever happened to "the customer is always right" or are we all to be treated as though we have just gotten off the last plane in from Cochin!!!!
If I had been wearing white or my wife, black, the pr!ck would have bent over backwards (often quite literally) to exchange my goods.
Customer Service - long way to go irrespective of the goods involved - car or chicken!!!
Hey ho - crack on!!!
no! dont say that. they are perfect. thats why i am suing them. all after sales support is rubbish in doha.
