Dear All

I want to perform UMRAH and thinking about option of flying from Damam. I am planning on driving there from Doha and taking flight to Jeddah (NAS AIR). I have several questions so I can proceed with booking and planning.

1. Is it possible for me to fly from Damam to Jeddah on Umrah Visa?

2. Where I can park my car in Damam? Is there any reasonable options?

3. Is it really important to have Vehicle number on Visa?

4. If anyone has been through this route please share their experience?

Thanks to all and Jazak-Allah

Prayers!

Thanks you all for feedback and I appreciate your response help and contact.

Sami I will get in touch with you and discuss i detail.

I am planning on leaving on August 8th and only going there for 3 days. I will be back Saturday and just because of time constraints worried about parking and driving distance. Another problem is I am alone so driving is bit difficult for 15 hours. I drove alone several times for maximum of 12 hours so I know can make it with high spirit of Umrah.

Any suggestions about stay there and in Madina.

it will take about 15 hours from doha to Mecca (with short brakes for refueling and snacks and with reasonable speed of 120 - 130 KM/h)

in Mecca it is a bit difficult to find parking (especially now in Ramadan) but there are many parking areas outside the holy city and from there u can easily catch the local bus which will drop u near the gate of the haram

if u r going in this week let me know by PM, maybe we can arrange to move 2 cars together.

My suggestion is to go all the way to Makkah by road. You can park the car no doubt at Dammam airport but this may prove costly. You will also be losing much time for nothing. The highways in Saudi Arabia are simply excellent. I will be happy to give you all guidance if you call me on 665 33 683 or 44 81 0951. I have been to Makkah several time by road and have some idea of things.

Thanks for your reply!

I understand, we can have unacceptible delays on border or roads.

I am also considering Goung there by car so please share your experience.

Can you give me an idea how long it takes to reach Makkah by road?

Is there any parking facilties there ?

What kind of traffic i can expect on arrival in Makkah?

This is my first time and dont know arabic at all so dont want to get lost and waste time in asking people about directions, parking etc.

1- yes

2- in Dammam airport it self

3- no vehicle no. in umrah visa (only in passing visa it is mentioned)

4- i was planning to do the same but changed my mind and will go (on 1st Aug) by car all the way coz u may have unexpected stops which will delay ur arrival to dammam airport on time
