Turtle hatching season
Less than an hour away from the noise and bustle of the city there is something like this happening!
The awkward turtle from Simon Kearns on Vimeo.
It is turtle hatching season on our kite beach!
After work we took a 45 minute drive north to go see the brand new turtles hatching and making a break for the ocean, as you do!
Shot on a canon 7D, graded with magic bullet and made in sony vegas.

It always amazes me how the baby turtles find their way back to the sea. I have heard in Qatar the turtle breeding area has been secluded and is always monitored by some volunteers so that the eggs aren't stolen or the babies aren't distracted.
Do you know Mr. and Mrs. Gillespie, the britsh couple, who have been volunteering themselves for this cause for some years here.
very nice color grading..what magic bullet look did you use..
Hey buddy!!
Where is this location on the north? Would love to go and see myself with my wife. Maybe take couple of shots for the memory as well.
Thanks!!
their nesting site is on fuwairit beach
U have captured the nature's beauty. Wow it looks like these turtles are taught to find their way to their actual home..Masha allah....
I would really like to know where is this location...would like to visit..
I have often heard about this in Oman ...and its a tourist attraction too
wow! wonderfull! with no crabs or seagulls attacking them, the offspring have much better chances of surviving. hope the turtle population thrive to check the jellyfish infesting the sea/beaches.
Hi Simon, where can I find these hatchlings? It would be interresting to let kids watch the life struggle of these babies to their habitats
Thanks in advance :-)
an awesome vid again from you talented guy!
will surely love to post it in my fb. :-)
