I attended to buy Canon 600D i read about it and it's OKi for my budget (it's 680$) but someone just told me that it's way professional comparing to my needs thu. I want it for shooting kids travels picnics beach ,, i love photography but what is the need of buying like Canon MARK2 or even D7000 Nikon.
so now i'm again confused would you help !? please ?
I want like not less than 14 MP and very good processor (at least for my needs ) great in out/indoors and not that expensive
what is your suggestion ?!
Buy the Nikon D90 for body its older version but you can invest in cheap nikon lenses along with the kit lense, those are :
1- 18-105 ( kit lense)
2- 70-300 g ( 550 qrs )
3- 50mm 1.8 len ( low light and portrait - 450 Qrs approx)
Other options are
New Nikon D5100 with 18-55 kit lens ( around 3000 qrs )
New Canon 600d with 18-55 kit lens ( same price approx)
to answer your question it shows that you have no interest to take photography seriously. I mean u just wanted to capture your own family life in a good quality.
First thing to know is MEGAPIXEL is a commercial attraction to tell you that a camera is better than another. It's a MYTH
it's all about the processor and quality of the lens.
to answer your question directly: Choose any Beginner entry level DSLR and you should be fine.
such as:
- Canon 1000D (AKA Rebel)
- Canon 1100D
- Canon 550D
- NIKON D3100
- Sony Alpha A55V
As of my experience: Canon 1000D is a great choice for beginner and you can get is used at $250/- or brand New at $450/-
Check my flickr for photos taken with Cenon 1000D:

Go for it, it is a very nice camera ...
Option 2: Get EOS 1100 with kit lens and buy 50mm 1.8 lens (I love this lens for kids and portrait photography) and another 55-250mm to compliment your kit lens.
I would recommend you go for option 2. So that you will enjoy your new SLR.
Of course its better if you can afford 600D with these two lenses as well.
By the way, shop online, you will get it in half the price compared to local purchase.
all the best.
