a fund raising project for the 3 Filipina victim of Villagio Tragedy.
‘RIDE FOR A CAUSE’ to be held at 7am on Friday. The fund-raising activity, spearheaded by the United Pinoy Motor and Motorcycle Group, will kickoff at the Doha Exhibition Center en-route to the Philippine Embassy.
hmmmm.. you have a point.. maybe for them to collect more help for the teachers?
I am just trying to help to disseminate the info. you may call and raise your concerns with them directly. :)
So why first para gives permission for individual and groups to collect donation?

As per the circular posted above it says otherwise.
they ask people who want to help by giving it directly to the finance Officer in the embassy.
Your Embassy should not allow individual/groups to collect donations all donations should be paid in a account managed by the Embassy.
ohh. didn't know that. maybe they will liaise with the Philippine Embassy for that one.
Villagio was insured. by a Oman insurance as per yesterdays gulf times who also said they will settle the claims ASAP.
