Questionnaire about Quality of Living

By Qatar_Urbanism

Dear Qatar Living Community.

Myself and a research team at the Qatar University are involved in a research project about the quality of living in Qatar. We would like to ask you to support us by filling in an online questionnaire. The questionnaire is anonymous and will be only used for research purposes only. The questions are simple (multiple choice) and not offensive:
For instance:
Do you like your accommodation?
What kind of accommodation would you prefer?
etc..

Please follow this link to participate:

Kind regards,

Sorry, the questionnaire had to be closed for now.

Thank you for your participation. You might hear from us via your HR or PR department of your company in future.

In order to have the best empirical basis we will now focus on distributing the questionnaires to companies.

In this forum 60 people participated.

I will update you with research results and outcomes of our projects.

Please visit our website.

@amneo

rented car is in this case = own car

if you rent, buy or lease it. Does not matter for this survey.

But you are right with public transport. We consider adding it. Thanks.

The first question Country of Origin seems to be for a commodity or a manufactured equipment.

What happened to words like Nationality ? After all, isn't this survey related to humans !!!!

Hope you can understand the sarcasm.

Their are other ways of commuting (Related to Question 7). Public Transport , Rented Car ....

P. S.:

The result will be published in journals as well as in two book projects. It is an academic project, which is hopefully useful for authorities in Qatar to have insight how people perceive contemporary living conditions.

Thanks paradisevirus.

If you do not want to share your employer. Then just answer NA.

It would however be of great benefit for our survey since we analyse the questionnaires according to:

- Age group

- Gender

- Nationality

- Profession

We do not want any personal information: Name etc..

This questionnaire is also distributed to over 50 major companies and their employees as hard copies. We just wanted to launch an online questionnaire in order to have a more diversified and quantified result.

In 2 hours 35 people have filled in the questionnaire. That shows a very active and engaged community on this forum. I hope we can reach the 1,000 mark. I am grateful for any advice to get higher participation.

I will publish our immediate results on this forum and I will keep you updated.

Thank you.

Kind regards,

Dr. Florian Wiedmann

Nice questions, it seems lot of work is done to create survey questions. All the best for your project.

There are few holes in the survey thou.

- There is no validation, without giving any answers, one can finish the survey.

- Asking some question would hold the visitor back, questions like Employer name etc.

- In survey ask for personal details like name and nationality at the end. Also mention the explanation that the details will not be miss used, to gain visitors confidence. Since URL doesnt prove that its QU site.

What i liked is the questions, they are too nice. Keep it up, hope Qatar goverment analyse the survey and solve accomodation issues (assuming many would show dissatisfaction with accomodation topic).

Thanks
