Is it true, that if the father of a new born child doesn't comply with the salary bracket of 10k, the infant will be deported due to non-compliance to sponsorship law?

I have a friend whose currently pregnant and is due by mid next month, she was prompted with a deportation risk of her soon to deliver child.
