How to close Bank Account?

Hi Guys, my friend going to leave Qatar next month. He currently using serving account for personal in QIIB. He need to close account there. What is the procedures close the account? Can he withdraw money all by ATM? Pls advice us friends.
i heard there's some charges on closing an account...
He must go to the bank and withdraw all of his money form bank and tell them that he need to close his account permanently, then they will charge 25 or 50 rials for the release letter,release letter will b ready in 3 working days.
tell to your friend that he must go to the branch of the bank wherein he open his account.. Fill up the form then give to the customer service for checking. Once its OK they will close the account then he can withdraw even small currency...
he must go to the bank; notify he's leaving and after clearing the account get a "Release" from the bank stating that he has no money in accounts nor debts in loans or credit cards so he can exit.
