Does anyone here know where can I find an allergist/allergologist? I am suffering a chronic urticaria/anaphylaxis. I need to be consulted immediately. Thanks
I was taken by an Ambulance from my work this morning due to anaphylactic shock. Happy with their response, but when I arrived at the emergency room, I am really unsatisfied. When asked if I have difficulty breathing, I told them not yet, but I know it could happen anytime, that's why I called the ambulance.(My body was trembling, and I could not even move properly, plus the fact that hives was spread on my face and all over my body, which is very itchy). I was transferred to ER bed, and it took a while before they give medication. After an hour, they said I can go home. I'm not sure if they were taking my illness seriously. Back in my country, my allergologist's checked me from time to time. It's not that I want a full attention, because I understand that I am not the only patient there, but they should atleast give me the medication as soon as I arrived and not wait for the worst to happen.(http://www.medicinenet.com/anaphylaxis/article.htm) I used to collapse and lost conciousness due to difficulty breathing if untreated immediately.
HMC is always the best place to go since private clinics is charging exorbitant fees and asking for lots of test (even unnecessary) to milk more fees from patients..
Before going to HMC, visit the nearest health clinic in your area and get some referral..HMC will not accommodate walk-in non-emergency cases without referral especially if you are looking for an specialist, submit it to them and they will do the rest..
