Your knee and a major portion of your body will be inside the gantry because the scanned part should be in the centre. Since your head is outside you won't feel much of claustrophobia. It's better to do knee scans in closed machines rather than open MRI machines.

Only the Knee will be done, usually its either by a Doctors prescription to get it done, or if you want to do it yourself you can approach any clinics which have the equipment. I have recently got it done for my Wifes Knee, takes approx 30 mins to do it, report is given in 2 - 3 days, and cost i believe is 1200 QAR per Report.

Insurance will take care of it if you have doctors prescription for it.
