Fraudsters in the QL Classified- car sale
Of recent times I was browsing through QL cars, to buy a car and noticed some really good cars on sale for a very less price. eg- 13th May a post for a new Accord ( 2010) for QR 27k !! too good to be true..
Anyways out of curiosity tried contacting the seller (who had a phony number)via e-mail.
I got a lengthy reply saying that he is in UK... I need to give him a western union warranty .. blah blah.
The same thing had happened to a friend of mine who inquired of a cheap lexus.
Anyway , bottom line is ; Guys beware.. there are a lot of fraudsters out there trying to make a quick buck using the popularity of QL.
Cheers
Too many people! lol
If its too good to be true, it usually is...
The solution is simple: if the offer sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
I saw the IPhone ad for 300qr MissTeacher. Classic case of it being too good to be true. The interesting question is how many people were dumb enough to believe it?
TFS Lots and lots of scams lately.
There needs to be more monitoring of the classifieds. About 70 are either repeats or scams.
SAME WHAT HAPPEN TO MY FRIEND,SHE FIND SOME ADDS IN QL FOR APARTMENT FOR RENT IN ZIGZAG FOR ONLY 3K A MONTH FULLY FURNISH.WHEN SHES TRYING TO CALL THE QATAR NO.CANNOT BE RICH.SO SHE SEND SOME EMAIL REGARDING THE APT TO THE OWNER.AND THE OWNER SAID SHES NOT IN DOHA RIGHT NOW SHE CAN SEND THE KEY THRU BY ARAMEX TO VIEW THE PROPERTY.BUT SHE NEED TO SEND TO THE OWNER FIRST 9K QR FOR DEPOSIT.HOW CRAZY IS THAT?
Yes if you see an iphone4s for 300QR and a pathfinder for sale and it says call a number that starts triple 5.....
Its a scam.
there is still people out there trying to catch an easy fish!!
Yet they do not know they are the ones being "caught".
Just remember a few days back somebody for an apartment to rent in the Pearl, while the owner was in UK; oh and not to forget the nicely priced Iphones 4s 64 Gb below 2000 QAR!!!
