Next Time

Next time if you have to drive at 40km/h on 120km/h fast lane and that too early in the morning when the roads are empty and you aren't willing to move out then stick a big note on back of your car trunk that says
"Bang me hard in the back".
All will be good then.

Probably the top problem among drivers in Doha is that they DO NOT KNOW HOW TO MERGE! Nor have I ever seen anyone change lanes in order to allow someone merge room. Just saying'.

Feel your pain. I have seen an accident happen when an lady joined a lane at the speed of .0005 km/hr and was rammed by a landcruiser that was driving 50km/hr (as he should have been).

Slow drivers out there, when you do get hit... dont blame others.

Err, gazalz, because it is illegal to pass in the right lane? As well as unsafe?

to pass. If you are a defensive driver (which is the normal behavior), you only overtake on the left, so if someone is staying on the left and in slow motion, you may never know if in case you overtake to the right, the nut will go right! So the general rule should be stay on the right even if the road is empty or not.

If the roads are empty, why does it matter what is your speed and which lane you are in

By Mandilulur• 21 Apr 2012 13:21
Mandilulur

MS, it is not safe to drive less than about 20% under the speed limit, especially in the left lane. Most highway accidents happen because of the disparity in speeds. Or as I've been known to say, "Drive much?"

There was no fast lane anyway, have anyone saw a sign board say it so??..what do you mean is an OVERTAKING lane where it was the normal lane used by reckless drivers around qatar. That is why they are so upset if someone in front of them with a safe and slow speed.
