I heard that the 2 years ban period in Qatar differs according to the nationality of the person so some nationalities would have only 1 year ban period,
is that true???

And the source from where you heard is? Name the source so it can be asked directly there!! If it's rumors or "hear-say" better be careful since recently there is a new law that harshly punishes those spreading rumors.
There is no other statement to the Ban period. It is still 2 years regardless of nationality.
