Annual Air Ticket Conversion to cash.
By Patricia R. Espena •
Just to ask help to get the right answer/Opinion. Are the Air tickets coversion is deductable by 10% if it is converted into cash? Is this being permitted from the Qatar Labor Law? In the Contract it does'nt specify to be deducted to a 10% in the Annual air ticket.but, the Company has this new policy to deduct 10% of the amount from the ticket price. Is the policy is legal or not. Appreciate advise and please share opinion . Thank you.
The company is liable only to give you ticket as per the contract. But if you want to encash it for your own benefit - either you are getting the tickets from a different source like your spouse's company or redeeming the points.or may be taking the cash and enjoying a local leave. The company is giving you a favour of encashing your ticket.
Basically you don't have the right to complain if the company deducts a percentage of from the encashed ticket.
Up to the company, not Qatar Labor Law.
Mandi
This is a commom rule in companies to deduct some percentage from the cheapest air fare you can find.
thank god they are only deducting 10%, in our company policy they will deduct 20% from the ticket price which they will be getting through the cheapest air ticket agencies,
damn u reminded me with this dirty policy of cost cutting which our company is following
As per labour law there is no encashment policy of air ticket. Company is liable to give you air ticket to your home country as mentioned in your contract and encashing the ticket is up to the Company.
