Al Fardan Gardens II
We will be moving to Doha in a few months. We have no children. A possible place that the employer will provide us is Al Fardan Gardens II. If any one knows about this compound, please let us know: 1)How far from this place to the Corniche?, 2) Is this a safe place to live?, and 3) Is the management staff good? I mean do they respond quickly to maintenance problems like A/C not working? Thanks.
By the way, it is very much a family type of compound. If I had no children, I would much prefer an apartment in the West Bay area. Do you know where the office will be? since you have no need to be near a school, choose your accommodation by whatever is closest to work. Traffic in Doha is the #1 complaint of most people here.
It's a beautiful compound considered one of the better ones in all of Doha. The villas are nice sized and the recreational facilities top notch. Alfardan has a good track record with maintenance problems. Unfortunately the compound is on the outskirts of Doha and nowhere near the Corniche--probably 30-45 minutes drive depending on traffic. It is a good location to get to Villagio mall and the American/British schools.
Very nice, very safe. Not too near the Corniche.
